Definitions of words, things, phrases and more used in 'Star Wars' and this Blog

A-A-T's/M-T-T's: Armoured attack tank and multi-troop transport vehicles for
                              the Separatists.
Arc Troopers: Advanced recon commando soldiers of high standards in the Republic's
                       forces.
Astromech Droid: A rounded droid built for repairs and co-piloting ships. R2D2 is one
                              of these.
At-At's/At-St's/At-Pt's/At-Te's/At-Rt's: These are all types of Walking droids used
                                                                in Empire the and  Clone forces. The At-At's
                                                                were the biggest and were able to cover almost
                                                                any terrain and carry loads of  troopers inside
                                                                too.
A Wing/B Wing/X Wing/Y Wing: These are all types of Star fighter for Clone, 
                                                         and Rebel  pilots.
Bacta and Bacta Tanks: Bacta is a healing liquid and tanks full of it are built for when
                                       people need to be submerged in them to fully heal. Luke was
                                       put in one on more than one occasion.
Battle Droids/Super Battle Droids/Commando Droids/Aqua Droids:
                                                            The Battle droids were the standard model
                                                            chose to fight  for the Separatists, but over time 
                                                            they built varying versions including the more
                                                            robust Super Battle Droids, The
                                                            agile Commando Droids and the water resistant
                                                            Aqua Droids.
Blasters: These are the guns of the Star Wars universe. They come in many shapes and
               sizes.
Black Sun: A crime syndicate with interest in smuggling, assassination and piracy.
Bongo Sub: A type of submarine used by the Gungans.
Bounty Hunters Guild: A group for Bounty Hunters who follow a fairness agreement,
                                     though the rules are frequently broken.
Bowcasters: The weapon of choice of the Wookiees, similar to a crossbow.
Carbon Freezing: A method using an icy substance used to keep people in suspended
                             animation.
CIS: The confederacy of independent systems, that works closely with the Separatists.
Clone Troopers: The soldiers of the Republic.
Clone Wars: The galaxy wide war between the clones and Jedi of the Republic and the
                      Droids of the Seraratists.
Colonies: The 2nd ring of planets out from the Galaxy's core.
Dark Side: Those who follow the works of everything bad including the ways of the
                  Sith.
Death Star: A giant Spherical battle station built for the Empire.
Death Watch: A mandalorian splinter group who opposed the newer Mandalorian
                       ways.
Dejarik: A holographic chess like game where small monsters compete on a round
              plinth.
Electrostaff: An electric weapon used by Grievous's bodyguards, among others.
Executor: Darth Vaders flag ship.
Expansion Region: The 4th ring of planets from the Galaxy's centre.
501st: An elite squad of Clone troopers who were led by Darth Vader in the
           slaughtering of the Jedi at the temple on Coruscant.
Force: The power that some being posses that enable them to do things such as move
            objects with their minds, sense danger and influence thought. Jedi and Sith are
            strong in the force.
Gaffi Stick/Gaderffi: A staff like weapon used by Tusken Raiders.
Galactic Senate: The body of people and the building on Coruscant that govern all of
                           the galaxy.
Great Sith War: An ancient war between rival Sith.
Holocron: A small memory device to store data, that can be reviewed later in time.
Home 1: Admiral Ackbar's flagship and head of the Rebel Alliance.
Imperial guards: Servants to the Emperor that were once loyal to the Republic, hence
                           their costumes went from blue to red.
Intergalactic banking clan: The financial support in the Clone Wars that worked
                                            alongside the other agencies in the CIS.
Invisible Hand: One of General Grievous's flagships.
Jedi: Those attuned in the ways of the Force, that serve to protect and better the galaxy
         and oppose the Sith and it's allies.
Jedi Civil War: An ancient War between the ranks of the Jedi, as many teeter on the
                         Dark Side.
Jedi Code: The rules to witch the Jedi strive to abide. They revolve around peace and
                  knowledge.
Jedi Council: The 12 Jedi that are chosen to form a collective in deciding matters
                       concerning the Jedi.
Jedi Temple: The site where many Jedi live. It is also where the Jedi council are based.
Jekk'Jekk Tarr: A cantina on the moon Nar Shaddaa that encircles the Planet
                         Nal Hutta.
Jundland Wastes: A dry rocky region of Tatooine.
Knights of the Old Republic: A period of time thousands of years before
                                               the 'Battle of Yavin', (BBY).
Lekku: The squid like tentacles of a Twi'Lek.
LightSabre: The weapon used by Sith and Jedi.
Mandalorian War: An ancient war between the Jedi and an armoured race called
                              'Mandalorians'.
Midi-Chlorians: Microscopic genes that give certain races the 'Force'.
Millennium Falcon: A ship owned by Han Solo and previously Lando Calrissian.
Mind tricks: A skill used by Force wielders to manipulate beings to their will.
Moisture farming: The process of extracting water from under the planets core on hot
                              worlds such as Tatooine.
New Republic: The period of time directly after the demise of Emperor Palpatine.
Nightsisters: Beings in tune with the Dark side of the Force but do not side with the
                     Sith.
Nubian Star Cruiser: A ship Queen Amidala uses when being protected by the Jedi.
Order 66: The secret order given by Palpatine to the Clones to murder the Jedi.
Padowan: A young Jedi who has not yet reached standard of a Knight.
Pit of Carkoon: The place where the Sarlacc dwells on Tatooine.
Pod racing: A dangerous sport where small pods race at high speeds just above ground
                    level and often through perilous areas. Malastare and Tatooine are among
                    the planets that do this contest.
Protocol Droids: Droids built to communicate, such as C3PO.
Rebel Alliance: The group set up to oppose Emperor Palpatine.
Republic: The large scale faction that became an opponent to the Separatists.
Republic credits: The money used by more wealthy beings in the Inner rim and alike.
Rims: The 3rd, 5th and 6th rings of planets around the galaxy's core.
Sabacc: The cars game in which Han Solo won the Millennium Falcon from Lando in.
Sail Barge/Skiff: Modes of hovering transport used on planets such as Tatooine.
Sand Crawlers: The transportation used by Jawas on planets such as Tatooine.
Separatists: Another name for the CIS.
Sith: A being of evil and wanting for destruction. The enemy to the Jedi.
Sith Lightning: A powerful attack done by Sith, to shoot lightning from their
                         fingertips.
Slave 1: Boba Fett and later Jango Fett's ship.
STAP: Single trooper aerial platform. Used by Battle droids.
Stark Hyperspace War: Taking part in 46bby, this war was small but integral in
                                      Darth Sidious's efforts to take over the galaxy.
Supreme Chancellor: The title given to the one in control of the galactic senate.
Tantive IV: Princess Leia's ship just prior to the battle of Yavin.
Techno Union: This commerce guild supplied many things for the CIS, with
                         Wat Tambor at it's head.
Tie Fighters/Tie Bombers/Tie Interceptors: These are all small ships used by the
                                                                      Empire. Vader has a unique advanced Tie.
Trade Federation: A commerce guild, trade cartel and all round power for the CIS.
Vaapad: A Lightsbare form, used by Mace Windu, said to be on the verge between
              Sith and Jedi.
Vulture Droids: Droids that could fly in space battles for the Separatists.
Yuuzhan Vong: A violent race, that after Palpatine's death, rose up and conquered the
                          galaxy, enslaving many worlds.
